Goals and Vision
I have to admit that I stink horrible at New Years Resolutions. I am not one to make them just to be honest. I wish I were better. The first step to fixing a problem is admitting that there is one, right? Perhaps in another world. I will say that I am looking forward to 2015. Though we are just a few days into it, I know that there are great things that lay ahead.
Many of you will try and lose weight. Some will try to give up smoking. A few will give up pornography. Whatever your vice may be, you will be ready and willing to have a goal and a vision. Zig Ziglar is credited in saying “If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.” And I agree. There are times where I feel that I have nothing to aim at and then there are those times that I feel that there are way too many goals to aim at. But today, I am aiming for one thing and that is to intentionally on a weekly basis have a family night with my kids and wife. Some of you are perfect dads. You can have these at the drop of the hat. For me, I have to work at it. It is easier for me to put in a movie and call it a family night.
Perhaps we can say that this is my resolution. Then again, you would all hold me accountable and we can’t have that here, can we?
What’s your goal for the year?
